NOW my portfolio critique

I had my portfolio critique yesterday. i didn't even plan for it i just showed up the morning of with a bunch of drawings and tried to be patient enough to get a response. the mixture of ages seemed to get some of the class away from thinking i was just into beautiful boys. we ended up having a really interesting conversation about the passage from boy to man. i think this stuff will be put under a heading of "Once upon a time there was boy named Jack..." to pull in the jack model of story telling. there was also a very understanding exchange about the indescribable something that i go after when choosing a model. the romanitisizing of looks that traditionally women have been attributed with doing versus the male surface value. that something special that calls attention to someone and marks them as attractive regardless of the configuration of features. there was also a unanimous agreemnent that the photos not be disclosed. i sort of would like to make a fllip book of some of them though. when i was done i just sort of sat in the empry classroom for another half hour or so. i had only seen my day as far as the critique, the rest of the day was shot i was an empty husk. i shot my wad and just wanted to roll over and sleep for several days. there is the departmental reviews yet to come.
